January Blog Update 2010 is gone and 2011 is here. As the New Year begins so brings on some changes to the Glory Road. We took the month of December off to allow group members time with family for the numerous family, church and work get-togethers. I spoke of changes. Yes with the New Year you will be seeing some new faces in the Glory Road. We want to thank Penny Bearden for the years of dedication to the ministry while singing the high part for the Glory Road. We also want to thank Andrea Brown for her service on the Keyboard and as Web Master for the past several years. Both Penny and Andrea sacrificed their time and used their talents for the work of the Lord with the only rewards being laid up in heaven and the wonderful comments and thank you that came from so many of the grateful people in our services and concerts. All members of the Glory Road travel and donate their time to the ministry. We weren’t looking for a keyboard player but around Thanksgiving 2010 we were to sing for a revival service and Andrea got sick before the service and was not able to go with us. The church member that let us in to set up (Jeff Deweese) told us they had a man in the church that could fill in. He called Chris Sanders and Chris came for a thirty minute practice prior to the service and played for that evening’s concert as well as our last concert of the year. We later found out that the guitar is actually his main instrument. You will now hear the Glory Road with some new fantastic anointed instrumentation. Chris along with his wife Michelle live and farm near Tripplett, MO. Michelle teaches Kindergarten in addition to helping on the farm and raising children with Chris. On behalf of all of the Glory Road family we wish you a very blessed and happy 2011. Don
